A Farm Photo-Tale
>> Tuesday, 20 October 2009
OK, what happens when 1. your family is at a wedding in Sweden, 2. the only thing they ask you to do during their absence is take care of a little farm, and 3. they forgot the camera at home?
It happens the following:
Instead of a beautiful Swedish bride, the camera is capturing eight rebel turkeys. Are they obeying me?
The turkeys are defeated, but they still draw themselves up. "I have no words to describe their pose" thinks the pony. No, he's not helping me at all, he only fakes it.

Farm boy for the weekend! I think you did quite well...I love the pony and the photos...as for turkeys, not my favorite unless they are gracing a platter in Thanksgiving finery with all the trimmings. I think there are much more beautiful birds..ie, peacocks, pheasants, etc.
Good work, corralling those obstinate birds and saving the day.
What a pretty, pretty, pretty pony!!! With such a startling name!! I love it!! I love the pony and I love the pony's name!!
I don't think I like turkeys so much, though! We once had neighbors with turkeys, and they used to chase me and make me so, so frightened!!!!!
Carmen, Charity, how nice to see you both. I know, turkeys are awful! And really stupid too: those birds were starving when I found them, and they had a lot of food inside the corral! The pony is simply lovable, very shy and bouncy at the same time. Cheers.
Awww, Llamp is adorable and those turkeys aren't bad either. I like them all lined up in formation there...kinda like they're ready to take on...something...
That was quite a babysitting job you had! :o)
It really was, Holly! Only I thought it would be an easy job, but I was surely wrong! Thank you. :)
Lovely pony and I'm not too sure about caring for birds though...aren't turkeys rather large? I love country living but I avoid livestock at all costs!
I don't know much about farm life but that pony is adorable. Turkeys can be a mess, unless of course they are on your dinner plate :D
