This is the three-year journey of an aspiring writer from his earliest attempts to finish his first novella to the book launch. Among other things found along the way in the meantime :)

Say Mèu

>> Wednesday, 23 March 2011

Our old cat! It lives like a dandy at my grandmother's house. Mèu is what Catalan cats say instead of meow.

I love the composition of this photo and how the kitty seems to be resting its weary heard on the pillar:)

pretty cat. And here I always thought that all cats spoke the same language...lol

What a lovely cat. I should have guessed that that is what Catalan cats say!

(Josep - For some reason your comment refuses to post to the blog - I just wanted to thank you for your kind sentiment)

I wonder if cats can learn each other's languages if they get to travel?

Your cat looks quite well fed and content.

I think I also say "Meu" instead of "meow" .. I must be Catalan, then! :)

When I was little, I had a best friend, a persian cat named "Sleepy Head" , my parents and I found him outside the local bank, and we brought him home with us, he was my dearest friend for the next few years, and I was heartbroken the next time we moved to a new country and had to leave him! I have so many fond memories of Sleepy Head and I still miss him so..

The photo has a feeling of softness just like the kitty itself.
